Soundstream Street Hopper
The Street Hopper is a Bluetooth speaker introduced in 2016 by Soundstream. It is made in China, and imported by Epsilon Electronics of Montebello, California. There appear to be some re-branded versions of it, including the Soundstream Cannon, the Steelpro Bazooka EX-3000CN, and the Dolphin SP-600BT. We haven't obtained any of those for review, but they look identical to the Street Hopper.
This speaker has very flamboyant LED lights that change color and beat to the music. They appear to be "glow cords", which are kind of like fiber optic cables. When you connect an LED to them, they carry the light all the way thought them.
There is a Street Hopper 6 (SH6) and a Street Hopper 8 (SH8). Here's the difference between them:
- SH6 has 6.5-inch woofers on each side (one active, one passive). The SH8's woofers are 8-inch.
- SH6 has 2.5-inch front speakers. The SH8's are 3-inch.
- SH6 is 75 watts, SH8 is 100 watts.
- SH6 is 20.5 inches long, SH8 is 24.5 inches long.
- SH8 has an SD card reader.
- SH6 has two bundles of glow cords. SH8 has three.
